The Great Falls Orthopedic Associates and Benefis Health System have joined forces to develop the Orthopedic Center of Montana, a state-of-the-art facility scheduled to open in 2010. At the Center, patients will have access to comprehensive orthopedic services at one location. Currently, some procedures are offered at GFOA's site on the Benefis West campus, while others are offered at the Benefis East hospital.
The 72,000-square-foot facility will bring a full range of orthopedic services together under one roof, including walk-in injury treatment, physical therapy, imaging, sports medicine and spine care. Three outpatient surgical suites will allow patients to undergo diagnosis, surgery and rehabilitation in one location.
"These suites will be specially built and designed for the orthopedic patient," Dr. Greg Tierney explained. "The center's nursing and support staff will be dedicated solely to orthopedic patients, allowing us to provide an unparalleled level of efficiency and care."
Inpatient services will also be provided in a more efficient manner, as the Orthopedic Center of Montana will be connected to the operating rooms and patient rooms at Benefis East by the sky bridge over 26th Street South.
This partnership between GFOA and Benefis is improving the quality of services for our patients.
